Angela mentioned this place at dinner yesterday night so Rachele & I went to try it. It was an outdoor mini market featuring Filipino foods & products put on by the Filipino community in Seoul. We looked up directions online & took the subway there at about noon. Sure enough, right when we got out of the subway station, we heard accents 😀 So we literally followed the accents straight to the marketplace. It was like a mini swapmeet. They had so many Filipino products – papaya soap to make your skin glowing white, spices, sky crackers, everything. The best part was the hot food that was available. Everything from lumpia, turron, to halo halo. We sat down at the main food buffet station. 5,000 won for a tray of food which includes rice & two sides.
You can get meals here or the food a la carte. There’s also refreshing Filipino beer if you like to drink. Besides, Filipino products, you can also find a small selection of American goods too. Prices will vary from vendor to vendor. Everyone has a really warm & inviting personality which gives the place a really home-y feeling. Can’t wait to come back soon.
