Location: Sinchon – near Luna & the arcade – across the street from Baskin Robbins
Date of Visit: December 4, 2009
As a class, we went out to lunch with our teacher on the last day of school. We decided on jjim-dalk or chicken stew. This place is located near the arcade & Luna Bar. It’s also approximately a few buildings down from Tom n Toms Coffee. My side of the table got two plates, one spicy & one non spicy. But in Korea, non spicy essentially means spicy & spicy means FRICKIN SPICY. I’ve had this dish once before with Esther & Casey back in October so I knew what to expect.
I like how everyone started sweating after eating the spicy one hahaha. I really liked the potatoes in this dish. Reminds me of the 반잔 with potatoes & soy sauce. The clear glass noodles were really chewy and balanced out the spiciness nicely. The chicken was good, not too dry but not mushy either. Some people had this with rice but I just ate it as it is. This place was really nice to us, they gave us like 4 bottles of cider as a service.
