Location: COEX Mall (삼성역)
How To Get There: Follow the signs in the subway station into COEX Mall. You will notice the giant food court as one of the first things in the mall.
Date of Visit: December 13, 2010
After the mandatory medical at the Seoul Medical Center, some of the other Chungdahm trainees and I walked to COEX for food since we were starving and it was the nearest location. It was literally right around the corner from the Seoul Medical Center. We decided to eat at the food court since that meant everyone could just get what they wanted instead of deciding on one restaurant. While the others perused the Korean food menu, I wandered off to another food place that caught my eye. SBARRO. Yes, Sbarro. The “Italian” food place you usually see in mall food courts. I don’t know what it was but the spaghetti and hot wing combo stole my heart. I had to get it.
MMMMM delicious. I was still obsessed with spaghetti at the time so it was a perfect lunch for me. It even came with a fanta soda! Some of the other trainees got dumplings, bibimbap, chicken & rice, don katsu, etc. Basic Korean food. Each meal was huge though. So they definitely got their money’s worth. It was an enjoyable lunch since we all got to pick what we wanted. And because most of us didn’t even have breakfast that morning.
