While looking back at some of my pictures, I found another place I forgot to blog about. YAY! Now I can talk about food again. All right, time to put my ridiculous memory to good use. And begin review…
After a filling meal at the Filipino market and drowsily walking around the Hyehwa shopping area, Rachele & I stopped at Ann’s House Cafe to escape from the heat. They had these cozy little booths decorated with pink & frills. So Doris style. Since my ass is big, I remember struggling to get into the seat each time XD I got a kiwi pineapple smoothie & Rachele got a strawberry banana smoothie. I wanted some cake too but I failed to notice the sign that says cake is only served on weekdays. However there is a toast bar (sandwich bread, jam, nutella, peanut butter) that is free & self-serving. It took about 7 minutes for our drinks to come out. We were surprised. They came in huge goblets:
The smoothie had real fruit in it. Both kiwi & pineapple. I tasted the pulp & everything. Very refreshing for a hot August day. I tried some of Rachele’s as well. I really liked hers too. The bananas didn’t overpower the whole drink. We sat in our little pink booth attempting to fill in our new diaries (that we just bought at a nearby stationary store) & admiring our new purchases for the day. Our smoothies were 7,000 won each. Pretty pricy for a smoothie but overall, drinks tend be be a bit pricy in Korea. However, this was a FRESH FRUIT smoothie & we got to sit in a pink booth. So I think that 7,000 won was justified.
