It is currently Christmas morning in Korea. I slept on my living room floor yesterday because I was too lazy to climb up to my loft. My branch manager bought us fried chicken, pizza, & beer yesterday night. The lobby turned into a dining hall. AWESOME. The thin pizza was pretty good. Mmmmmm pizza. I just skyped with my family back in California… as usual they are cooking up a storm. But seeing all that food made me crave for eggrolls, pho’, & banh mi 🙁 The things I would do for banh mi right now.
Anyways, the end of this week also marks my 1 week at work. I MADE IT. I SURVIVED. SURVIVED would be the appropriate word. I’m getting a better feel for things & I’m hoping that everything will become second nature to me soon. I still carry my little schedule with me everywhere. I still refer to the program guide every now & then. But my classes are a bit smoother now. I’ve started to crack down on the kids a bit more. Sure I give out stickers & candy but any misbehaving will get your name on the board under the “-10” or “-50” points section. But whether I really do take away points or not… that will depend on when I learn how to actually update the points system 😀
Anyways, I’m supposed to move to my new apartment today. I guess I will start dragging my shit over in a bit. Hopefully the streets will be empty today because I plan on doing some jaywalking. A couple of trips should do it. Then after, I might go to E-Mart or the Jungang Market. I need more “work clothes.” And toilet paper. Yes toilet paper would be good. Anyways, that’s it for now. Time to start moving my shit over to my new place, shop, & spend the weekend recooperating from this semi-cold.
