Christmas this year is too nostalgic. Throughout this week, I was reminded of how I started my first week of work at April one year ago. I remember catching a horrific cold from a student on my first day of work… only to have that student never show up again. I never got the chance to actually learn her name. Chungdahm threw the teachers a nice little Christmas party yesterday night. It was on the 5th floor of April, complete with booze and chicken wings. It was really cozy and Secret Santa was hilarious.
My favorite portion of the party was when they invited us to make a video message for our friends and family at home. We (as in Jess, Chad, & I) were trying to tell the Chungdahm staff that we didn’t need to make a video since April has blue screens hahaha. But we somehow ended up making a video (with Budweiser in hand) to Heather and Grace. Not our proudest moment but hey, it’s for the holidays.
I’m surprisingly calm about intensives this time around. It starts Monday & well, it’s happening. We got our schedules a week in advanced this time. I gave everyone their program guides. All I can hope is that everyone read it & arrive in time for their first class on Monday. Beyond that, NOT MY PROBLEM! I know, my new style of “relaxed leadership” is scary.
