Thank god the first week of spring term ended. It was a rough week for me. But I’m sure that’s how most people feel about the first week of each term as well. It’s the equivalent of getting waitlisted for a class, not getting it, & ending up in some random shitty class. But I hope things will get better. Some students are warming up to me now. I’m not sure how to deal with the ADD class but whatever. I went out for dinner with Heather & Grace on Friday night at Papa Johns. It was DELICIOUS! Papa John’s cheese sticks are the bomb. After dinner, we went to visit Heather’s cat (Alexa Justine/Isadora/whatever). It is the most precious thing in the world. Then we headed back to Grace’s apartment to watch the newest episodes of Modern Family & Hot in Cleveland. Then we somehow chatted until 6am… oops XD. I slept soon after that – thank god I’m only like 9 floors above. I slept until about noon then woke up to lounge around & skype my mother. We made a Costco trip around 4pm. Thank you payday!
After Costco, we went to galbi-jjim for lunner. We decided to get the 38,000원 pot this time. It was a very sensible decision. After a filling dinner, we rolled over to Maya Chocolatier for some coffee. I got my favorite – Royal Milk Tea. Daejeon doesn’t seem to sell the royal milk tea cans at the markets so the only place I can get it is either the subway stations or Maya. Maya is much closer. We sat there selca_ing for awhile until Glendy (Heather’s friend) came. Then we somehow decided that it would be sensible to go to nohraebang. So from 8-10pm, we butchered songs at the nohraebang. I have to say, the star of the night was definitely Heather – she is one step closer to becoming a star, just like Tina.
I spent Saturday in Seoul hanging out with Danielle Iwatsu. I have not seen her since 2007 — at the Key Club Convention AHAHAHA. She was just elected Circle K Governor when I was ending my term. Too bad we weren’t on the same year, we would’ve been an awesome trio along with Daniel. We spent the day catching up & hanging out at the Dog Cafe. Can’t wait to visit her in China this May. And she’s coming back to Korea this summer!
