September is practically over. But Daejeon is still not over this summer-like weather. The days are in the high 80’s while the nights come with a slight breeze. I love it. While I am looking forward to autumn, I am enjoying this wonderful summer weather. I’ve been moping around at work as usual. Things are a bit more busy nowadays since I have a Wednesday night Extensive Reading class. Which means, I cannot get any grading done on Wednesday nights. Which in turn, pushes me back one full day.
Junior Master is all right as well. Apparently, according to my evaluation, I am doing a dandy job. I just get laughs daily at the fact that I teach Tweedle-dee & Tweedle-dum. Literally. These two boys ask a ridiculous amount of questions. But I suppose that’s better than the boy who refuses to do his homework. It comes with the job I suppose. Oh Junior Master, you are definitely keeping me on my toes.
Besides that, I am signing another contract soon. A contract to be a teacher only. Well, supposedly. They’re still trying to get me to take on the HI position. Except they’re not willing to pay me a fair stipend. For the amount of stuff I have to deal with, I should be compensated well. I’ve had the Faculty Manager talk to me. My branch manager (whom I love dearly) has talked to me. It’s unfortunate that she doesn’t have any financial power. Now I hear the owner himself wants to talk to me. Obviously, I am a good teacher + worker. They might as well give me the price I am asking for… which in reality, isn’t even that much.
Anyways, not much going on for the next few weeks. I’m going back to Seoul on October 8th with Grace & Asuncion for some souvenir shopping. I’m moving into Grace’s apartment when she leaves at the end of October. That means I’ll finally have living space… and if I had friends, I could have sleepovers!
