… was kind of AMAZING. You know those “traditional” Thanksgiving meals you see on TV? I had just that when I went to Thanksgiving at the Keppys (aka Erin & Lucas). I traveled up to Seoul with Asuncion on 11/26 via Mugunghwa at 6:30am. We somehow ended up in the standing section because Asuncion bought tickets for the wrong day -_- We almost got away with it… until we got to Suwon lol. Anyways, after getting to Richensia, we started cooking. Yes, I actually helped. It was on this glorious day that I discovered the difference between liquid and dry measuring cups. After cooking and prepping, we went to eat lunch at the local pho’ place… HMM… NO. Korean pho’ just doesn’t cut it for me.
I went shopping in Namdaemun with Erin & Asuncion afterwards. The Christmas shit in Namdaemun was so awesome. Went to Myeondong after to shop around some more. We had some green tea yogurt at O’Sulloc. That was the shizz. I have to go to the plantation in Jeju someday… Headed back to the apartment after to finish up the cooking. We made (well Asuncion did) some sweet kettle corn. Richard managed to burn a whole pot hahahah. Dinner was awesome. A lot of Lucas’s friends came from his branch in Mokdong. It was refreshing hanging out with CDI people whom I do not work with.
Overall, it was a good night. Great food. AND eggnog. Seriously, somebody made eggnog. I never really celebrated Thanksgiving at home so this was awesome. Best part was Cinnamon running around in a diaper hahaha.
