I love it when foreigners come to Korea to teach and experience the culture for the first time. It’s just funny to me… not in a bad way. But in a “It’s so cute that you’re documenting everything for Facebook” way (I still do that). When I came (back) to Korea in December 2010, nothing culture-wise was new to me. I’ve seen it all, I’ve done it all. I had tons of people try to tell me things and show me shit. I listened to be polite – to a point. Nowadays, it’s just fun watching new people move in and discover things on their own.
Last Wednesday (3/21), I went out for Korean BBQ with Vicky – Jess’s friend from Canada who is now working at Chungdahm. It was her first time at BBQ surprisingly since she had been in the country for a whole month already. We went to the wooden place where we went for Grace’s goodbye party. Delicious as usual. Especially since this is the only place I know where 선지국 is served. We got there around 10:40 and stayed until past midnight. The after-events require a post on its own haha.
