Despite being extremely broke and still recovering from my luxurious American vacation, I still attended G-Dragon’s concert today. I spent 88,000 won on the ticket and they were pretty good seats despite it being in “Tier 3”. The concert took place in one of the stadiums at Olympic Park… the fencing stadium? I have no idea. It was smaller than the Super Junior stadium and most likely the same one as the 2NE1 stadium.
The outside area was ridiculous. G-Dragon banners and cardboard cut-outs everywhere! G-Market, Look Korea, & The Saem were there with their booths along with the charity G-Dragon was supporting. Kristina and I donated 5,000won to the cause because it supposedly got us G-Dragon’s autograph… which he “signed” 4 days ago hahaha. Whatever, there goes my charitable deed for the year. The concert itself was AMAZING. This was GD’s solo concert so it was just him keeping the show alive. There were a shit ton of celebrities there… the ones I actually recognized were 2NE1’s stylist/the guy in GD’s Crayon video, Lee Soo Hyuk (model), and most likely some B-list boy group members. Kristina also thinks she saw one of the Boys Before Flowers boy… (pottery guy). But pretty much, there were prestigious looking people walking past us with coffee cups… a clear indication that they were more than just the average concert-goer. All of GD’s performances were amazing… especially his new song “미치Go”. The only song I wish he would’ve performed was “Hello” ft. Dara of 2NE1. But the collaboration with CL & Tablo was pretty sick.
The line for the concert goods was way too long after the concert so I’m just going to get my hoodie online. If I wasn’t on such a budget, I would’ve picked up some of those knock-off goods they were selling out in front too. Quality merchandise haha.
Here’s one of the few pictures I took (cameras weren’t allowed inside):
