It has been a trying week. I don’t even know what was relevant and what wasn’t but here it is:
- REPORT CARDS: I usually start my report cards in advanced but with the school moving buildings, vacation, and AIS, I had to hightail it this time. I started last Monday and finished it Thursday night, the deadline date. I typed like a beast all week directly into the ERP system. It felt good to finally finish.
- GRADING: Intensives usually cause me to fall behind on my online grading. I’ve been catching up on a shit ton of online speaking homework. I also teach a lot of Seedbeds & Seeds, which means they have speaking homework every single day ㅠㅠ
- IMMIGRATION: What was supposed to be a simple task turned into a debacle. I went to immigration to get a copy of my background check and diploma. All they had to do was print out my papers and stamp it. While there, I discovered that my diploma was not on file. After freaking out, talking to several people at my branch, I discovered that my diploma was never submitted to immigration in the first place. I came to Korea on an apostilled degree verification letter and apparently, immigration never asked for the diploma after that. Then again, my branch decided to make me spend money to rush it to Korea to never submit it… there were a lot of F words flying out of my mouth when I found out.
- CLEANING: Anyone who knows me knows that cleaning my apartment is always a task. Try cleaning it after 3 years of settlement. The amount of crap I’ve accumulated never ceases to amaze me. Also, the amount of money I will need to spend on trash bags and packing boxes will kill me.
But yea, I’m about to start my last week of work at CDI April. It’s been a long 3 years and 2 months. I have so much to do still…
