I’ve been back in Daejeon for about 3 weeks now & I am finally getting settled in. As opposed to 24, I now only have 10 cardboard boxes full of crap lying around. I’ve been actively looking for furniture on the weekends. Last weekend, I went to Seodaejeon Station where the furniture district supposedly was. The furniture was super ancient looking and everything was EXPENSIVE. Yesterday, Juliet and Grace took me to Livart where everything was extremely pretty and modern. It was more affordable, although most of the items I wanted were still a bit too much for my paychecks. I think I will just get my couch on GMarket. I’ve pretty much settled on a beige couch and will pair it with a wooden coffee table and giant fuzzy rug. I’ve also ordered drawers to double as a room divider. The drawers are due to arrive tomorrow. It’s coming together down here in Daejeon. Slowly, but surely, it’s coming together.
My classes at April are pretty decent. I teach 3 Seed1’s, 2 Junior Master’s, 1 Sprout 3, 1 Sapling1, and 1 Seedbed2. So basically, my old schedule for the past 3 years hahaha. I do miss working with younger kids though… I miss seeing that select group of 12 every single morning and having them harass me throughout the day. GAWD, I miss my kindergarten babies! T_T I basically spend my whole life missing my former students haha. I’ve been getting emails from a few of the kinder babies and I pretty bawl my eyes out every time. I have faith that I’ll see them again someday.
I can’t wait for the weather to actually warm up. This spring sunshine is nice, but all this wind needs to go away.
