The weeks fly by so quickly nowadays. Winter has not been that bad so far… I am probably jinxing myself by saying this. For the most part, I am locked up inside a classroom all day with a heater so I only experience the cold in small intervals.
This week was super chill since the kids are finally getting the hang of the new term. Plus, I pretty much have 90% of my old kids from last term so they know exactly what to do. In Junior Master, I am “teaching” TOEFL Jr. I’m not really sure how you’re supposed to teach a test… I give the kids random test-taking tips and hope that common sense takes over when they take the test. My Tuesday/Thursday group is super chill about test taking. In fact…
They decided to throw themselves a hot cocoa and cookie party during the middle of a practice test. I’m okay with that. They’re pretty proactive about planning class parties so I allow it.
I still have a bit of shopping to do before I head back to America. My mother has requested a few items so I’m making a trip to Seoul to pick everything up. I also want to get Breakfast and Toki (Casey’s dog) a holiday sweater. I also need oatmeal to make some cookies. So, a trip to Seoul makes sense. I will be meeting up with my only friend Martha to skip around town. She can advise me on the right pair of street socks to purchase.
