How is it already November. And more importantly, why was it 31°F outside today??? I had to turn up my floor heating last night since my apartment faces away from the sun. I also busted out my electric heating blanket. I’m pretty much sizzling the night away like a piece of samgyapsal.
The debate competition is over… YAYYYYY! I have my boring life back. Instead of staying at work until 10pm, I am now free at 8:15pm (7:30 on T-TH) to roam the streets of Seongbuk and eat takoyaki to my heart’s content. Besides eating dinner after work, I have absolutely no energy for anything else.
Which leads me to… CAN I REALLY SURVIVE ANOTHER YEAR? Like, I just want to feel like a normal human! By the way, I turned 27 on November 7th. I’m only going to be 27 once, and I feel like I maybe need to not work 11 hours per day for now. I was counting on taking over the afternoon-only position, but someone already laid claim to it. I started updating my resume just to keep my options open. I haven’t updated my resume in about 3 years… I didn’t really have to submit anything when I went back to work for April in Daejeon last year. I also didn’t have to submit anything when I went back to Poly this year… While updating my resume, I pulled up Creative Cafe to list my awards… I MISS IT SO MUCH! T_T I miss teaching about the Tai O Fishing Village, Uncle Texas, Static Stretching, Stagitis, Merry Mousemas, EVERYTHING! I wonder if it’s possible for me to just send out my resume to all the Aprils up in Seoul haha. I just want to choreograph Seedbed 2 dances & film skits on a grainy Chromakey!
I’ll figure something out soon enough. I really like living in Seoul, and I hope I can continue to do so. I love the kids here at Poly, but man… the long hours are taking a toll on me. Until I figure something out, I will be curled up under my heated blanket with snacks casually sprinkled nearby.
