Oh my Lord… It finally snowed here in Seoul! I heard it snowed once back at the end of November, but I was prancing around in Hong Kong and missed it. It’s been a fairly “warm” winter this year… nothing too wild. But man, after the snow came for about an hour, the cold followed. Saturday (yesterday) was AWFUL. I had to brave the cold to go apartment hunting. I lasted for about an hour and quickly retreated to my lair for the rest of the day.
One of the mothers at my school brought/made these cookies for everyone. They were randomly given out and yet… HOW IS IT SO ACCURATE?
Work has been non-stop since I came back from my week in America. We started our new PAS classes (5th and 6th grade). I’m teaching Literature to some pretty advanced 5th graders. I am thoroughly impressed with how much they know. I mean, even I don’t want to read the textbook to prepare for class haha. My other classes are super chill because I know them so well. Everyone works really hard and they put up with my bad jokes and yelling.
I’m really sad that this year has gone by so quickly. I’m also very nervous for the new school year. There is so much uncertainty! I mean, who will fill the seat beside me in the office?? Who will put up with my sarcastic snaps and periodic sighing?? But I guess that’s the nature of this job. People come and go year after year. That’s okay, my self-help books and I will be fine ^_^
In other news, I started a bullet journal to keep track of my finances. One of my goals for 2017 was to learn calligraphy and lettering. I also like to scrapbook. A bullet journal made the most sense! I hope that writing out everything will help me better manage my finances. 2017 is a good year to start adulting.
