First off, how did this happen again?? It was a surprise last year, and it was a surprise this year as well. I was under the impression that you couldn’t win it more than once, but I guess that wasn’t true. The Poly Workshop was nothing new, but this was a nice surprise. I’m also glad that Thach and Roseberry won the award this year as well. Much respect to them for being the legendary teachers that they are. Me? I just do my best to keep it together and hang out with the kids as much as possible. Again, it was a nice surprise. Thank you to whoever nominated me!
September has been kind of tough since I got sick. Getting a cold while you heal from rhinoplasty is kind of awful. Just as my breathing was getting back to normal, I was hit with a cold that last about two weeks. When you mix that with cold meds, it kind of screw up your insides. The worst part about getting a cold right after rhinoplasty is the swelling. I felt like my healing process was set back a month or two just because I got sick so quickly after surgery. Nevertheless, I am finally over my cold… but now dealing with the changing of the seasons.
My nose definitely looks different post-surgery. I mean, it should haha. I am still waiting for it to take its final shape. I can still see/feel swelling on the sides and tip. I had osteotomy (breaking of nasal bones) in addition to the typical rhinoplasty, so it’s going to take a bit longer to heal overall. I can already see a taller and slimmer bridge. I’m just waiting for that definition to kick in haha 🙂
I am looking forward to a one-week Chuseok break! It’s way too expensive to fly anywhere, so I’m hanging out in Seoul. I had a great time doing a Seoul staycation this past summer. There’s so much of Seoul I still haven’t seen yet. I look forward to sleeping in, hitting up On the Border’s for their lunch specials, and finding the all the Instagram-spots in Seoul.
